Invoking the playful obscurity of a concrete poem, 'bathyphYSabRyozoA' stumbles on the tongue, disrupting the comfort of easy categorization. This invented term becomes a portal – a way to access the strange beauty of the Bathyphysa and Bryozoa, marine creatures that challenge our definition of individuality. These colonial organisms, a multiplicity functioning as one, embody notions of interconnectedness and interdependence.
The work reaches beyond the surface, mirroring the submerged world where Bryozoan filters become silent witnesses to the ocean's health. It leads us to consider the unseen systems and hidden flows that shape our world. This is an invitation to engage with the "otherness" of the deep, a realm teeming with intelligences beyond human comprehension, pushing us to re-evaluate our place within the complex ecology of the planet.
